Christina Bardwell

Christina Bardwell is a native of Western Massachusetts where she grew up studying all areas of dance at Hackworth School of performing arts, in Easthampton. She’s been dancing for the past 28 years and fell in love with the rhythms and sounds of tap dancing. Christina trained with some of the most prestigious tap teachers including Mike Minery, Gil Stroming, Michelle Dorrance, Derek Grant, Jimmy Slide, Harold Nicholas and most importantly her mentor Lisa Heath. Christina won numerous dance titles as her career progressed in the competition circuit. In 2000 after qualifying, she joined the Junior USA Tap Team. Christina and her duo partner Kim traveled to Slovenia and won the Junior Tap Duo World Champion title. In 2002 she qualified on to the Senior USA Tap Team traveling to Germany. Here she competed against 50 other nations in the 16 and over age category. She won two gold metals receiving her most awarded title of Senior World Tap Duo Champion and Senior World Tap Solo Champion. She is the first female solo winner to receive a perfect score at the World Championship Competition. Christina has since turned her love and gift of dance in to an opportunity for others to learn. She has been teaching dance for 15 years taking pleasure in every new step along the way.
