Senior Spotlight

Carlie Mackenzie Kempf

Carlie's love of music and dance was apparent from an early age. She sang with the Wiggles, twirled with the Backyardigans, and got down to Sean Paul. Carlie enrolled in a few dance classes during elementary and middle school, but her true dance education started just a few years ago at Pizazz. She threw herself into tap, jazz, and lyrical, practicing her technique for hours at home. Carlie was dancing with individuals that had been performing for over a decade, but she remained determined and dedicate. She worked hard and earned her way into the Senior Performing Group. Carlie possesses something that can't be taught in a classroom..... She has heart! We could not be more proud and are excited to watch her perform her powerful senior dance!

In August, she heads off to Howard University in Washington DC, where she will major in Graphic Arts and minor in Afro-American Studies. We have no doubts that she will be successful in her new adventure because she brings with her that incredible heart! We love you Carlie!!

Never forget dance when you get the chance!
